Etching was at the height of its popularity in the early decades of the twentieth century. Illustrated here are more than 60 etchings, mostly drawn from the collection of Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, representing the work of 15 artists, including noted exponents such as Stanley Anderson and Malcolm Osborne, along with several outstanding printmakers virtually unknown today, such as Alexander Heaney, Willis Paige, Nathaniel Sparks and Dorothy Wollard.
