BOOK PROPOSALS
Publishing art biographies, monographs and catalogues
We are always open to suggestions for new titles from experts in their fields and from public and private galleries with co-publication proposals on any aspect of British art of the past two centuries.
For the highest quality and keenest prices, contact us if you are thinking of publishing a book about one of your artists – or simply to get a competitive quotation for an exhibition catalogue.
Our range of services includes commissioning writers, editing, proof-reading, design, typesetting and printing.
If you have a text or project which you think might be of interest, please write to us with the following information:
1. a covering letter;
2. a synopsis;
3. a sample chapter;
4. a table of contents;
5. the estimated number of words;
6. examples or descriptions of any images, including the total number of illustrations to be used in the text. Please do not send any images at this stage;
7. if the manuscript is not yet complete, please indicate its anticipated date of completion; and
8. if you want your material returned, a self-addressed, stamped envelope (with the appropriate postage paid).
Your synopsis should be printed in black Times New Roman 12, double-spaced with usual indents, single-sided. Please do not send material on CD or memory stick. Please do not send a full manuscript.
Please note that we do not accept unsolicited manuscripts; we cannot guarantee a reply or the return of such material.
